I'm afraid I have to reject this one, Coach. Because Costello's act of idiocy was in November, and therefore needed to be nominated for that month. It would have been a very good nomination otherwise, although if I had a choice I still would have chosen Mushareff anyway.

This will however cause a change in the rules for nominations for 2008. I'll allow nominations for a month to extend into the next month as of January.

You're right - I'm not posting it - because I'm on the Aussies side, and in spades. "Monkey" is a racist term for non whites (Andrew Symonds is part Aboriginal). "Bastard" is not - have you forgotten the famous "which one of you bastards called this bastard a bastard?" line during the Bodyline series? Bringing a person's wife into it is not on. "Fat" is fine (Shane was a whiner at times). The Indians are carrying on like two bob watches, and I nearly nominated the BCCI for Idiots of the Month when I first heard the tour had been cancelled. About the only thing they had a point about was Buckner and Benson (the umpires) and even then they handled it all wrong - much like the Pakistanis did in England. Anyway, Lee has a much better nomination.

I hope I didn't say anything to upset you. It was a little trick to try and get Joe to realise that what he was doing was wrong. I drew on a low functioning Autistic man as the "friend" to add some spice to my story. My experience with Aspies is growing and it is a steep learning curve. This was another step in that learning curve. I have known for some time that manipulation is needed to educate younger Aspies. I thought that it worked, although I did notice you retracted the bolded update on the Disappointment article. It's a shame, but I guess not really unexpected. Do you have any plans for another update? I'm sorry if this question is out of line given your instructions about speaking of Joe, and my email is not working so when I had the chance I had to post here. You can remove this if you like.

No, Allison, that's OK. If I wanted to nit pick, I could have got a bit upset at the "careless" thing re LFA's. But I looked at the bigger picture and left it alone. The subject of Droopy was brought up and that was the core of my comment about LFA's - so the context was taken out by Joeker just to make a cheap point.

In fact I'm rapt at your effort because you not only understand Aspergers you have taken that much time out to make it your business to understand - unlike Fore Sam - and take the time out to accept it as a part of the human race - unlike Joeker. Yes, it didn't work as it turned out - as I found when Joeker put that pathetic "warning" about me to Flardox on Fore Sam's blog. That's when I knew he was lying about the "clean slate". Mind you - that by itself wasn't what caused the reversion. It contributed though. Along with his closet confession to being pro cure by comparing Autism to rabies, and his insistence that Amanda Baggs's present DX of LFA is correct and connecting it to my earlier LFA commentary (when Amanda is HFA without a doubt).

There won't be an update. I have something else planned. More than one thing - and one has already been in action on Joeker's blog thanks to a bunch of IRL friends. Although I'm not happy with one of them at all (see the get stuffed page) for going down the same path as that idiot Bunsen Burner did with me. That forced me to ask them to hold up for the time being. But right now - guess who's getting a Member of the Month nomination! *grins*

A POSSIBLE PROBLEM
Phil, I know you said "No more Joeker" but this is something I thought you should know.

On his blog it seems some anon called "Biker Gang" tried to publish your address, as well as Joeker's and Rossco's. Joeker says his was wrong, but it is a relative (which I think was TMI anyway!). Another anon called "The General" seemed to think it was a hoax and so does Joeker. I think it might be as well because this Biker person is calling someone you know rather well their "spiritual leader". It might be him behind it.

What do you think?

I've just come off there, and the addresses were on the blog for about half an hour. I just hope mine was wrong. I'm not concerned about this "Biker Gang" person, but rather anyone else who saw the address during the 30 minutes between this idiot posting and Joeker removing it. Joeker's got comment moderation on as a result of this - I would have banned all anonymous postings myself.

You're right though, Tex. We'll never know. I seem to recall seeing "biker gang" mentioned by Joeker or by someone else on his blog, but I couldn't be bothered going to look for it.

I doubt Fore Sam had anything to do with it really. More likely some lame sympathiser. Could even be one of the anons on Fore Sam's blog for all we know.

It depends on the forum, Wally. I guess if it's easy to change email addys after joining then it could well be possible. In which case you might be right - but then having said that it also opens up a large number of other possibilities as well. Anyway, Lumbus isn't one that I would identify as smart enough to do that. Given that he doesn't know how to ID the basic idea of "good v evil". (See Wrong Planet!)

Phil, it's back up, and if it's who I think it is - it's a genuine attorney. Rossco figures it was you for Christ's sake! Ernie Muirhead is who I'm thinking of. He's a really good lawyer who I shared an office with before I got out of law. He does litigation defense, and a lot of it pro bono. But don't worry - he's got a lot of horse sense and when he sees your side of the story he'll drop the case for sure.

Phil, it might be worth looking up Canadian law just in case. I just had a chat with one of the law professors here, and he said that there are more options in the criminal code in Canada than there is here - in any state. He remarked that Victoria has the best laws when it comes to the Internet, so if you are going to sue you'd better get it off the ground just to be safe.
