2008 was a year of ups and downs.

Football: The project this year was very frustrating. I didn't get to South Australia at all during the season, and the only positive side was my two journeys to Tasmania. The house move got in the way of the summer project work in Victoria in early 2008, but I made a serious attempt to make up for that at year's end with a trip to Canberra in early November and Adelaide at the beginning of December. The season proper saw limited success only, and the games weren't as good despite a few more beauties like Lower Plenty v Watsonia which was for me the match of the year despite the finish at Shepparton. I started a massive stock take after my last visit to the State Library of Victoria and that should be completed in early January 2009.

Wrestling: Locally I can call the year a reasonable success. I was able to commentate on an NAW show in April which delighted me, and that led to the one off Nitro Wrestling. Peter Farry's departure opened NAW up even more. But my heel manager character stayed in it's box. However I cleared a few more decks to my delight as the progress back from November 2005 continued. I also finally got to referee for Mark Mercedes and the IWA when they came to Ballarat for the Ballarat Show. I'm hoping that once I clear a few more decks early in 2009 that the progress will continue.

Internet: After much work, the new website made it's debut late in the year and the Wiki started being deleted. The final deletion should be in early 2009. The big news came in two parts. The first was the suspension of the All Aussie Wrestling forum (and consequently never to return), and then later the conclusion to the legal action against Paris Tenana - to another successful result meaning I'm three from three in court against individuals now. The order was registered as quickly as I could after I failed to do that with Ayling. The second was with the Autistic online community and I touch on that in the Aspergers section.

The blog numbers changed as I deleted my Blogspot blogs again with another new one debuting late in 2008, but My Space remains as does You Tube and my blog at Big Blog. A second Phil's Report was done on You Tube, and both reports are now friends only after a frivolous complaint was made. I had to alter the first one to get it through. I left Wrong Planet and Aspies for Freedom banned me for false reasons. But I'm on a fresh batch of forums there now. I also left WNA.

Aspergers: The Autism State Plan stagnated somewhat which was very frustrating, but I did make other contributions overseas, signing a couple of petitions and collecting information. The new website and the court action against Paris Tenana prevented any other real activism, but then I had Rossco trying to stimy it. I fought back late in the year after Sean Fraser finished up with the Truth Trap (as I call it now) and I started the new forum against Foresam.

Late in the year, Joeker stuck his nose in again forcing me to issue a DMCA notice and try to find the proxy he was using to avoid the IP ban. I successfully blocked two proxies and then he became silent which was a good sign. The DMCA notice needed more work though because Google put their freedom of speech line first. As of uploading that work continues.

Politics: My efforts to get the enquiry I wanted off the ground was held up by the relevant Minister's office absolutely insisting on a mailing address for me when I didn't trust Australia Post. There is another committee that has been set up which I won't name for now, and I finally emailed them just a tad too late and I won't hear anything about it until February. Meanwhile there's the issue of the new filter that has been proposed for Australian ISP's and I will be doing what I can with that issue.

Aside from that, it's been a quiet year. The house move was a major shake to the foundations and it has taken a long time to settle that down.

So far so good for the new website. 2009 will be an interesting year with a few things in the pipe so to speak.
